Citizens of Majdal Shams in the Golan call for boycotting hireling militias
Syria-Israel, Politics, 6/2/2000

The people of the occupied town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan heights called in a statements they circulated on Thursday to boycott members of the Lahd hireling militias and their families who were placed by Israel in the nearby Nefy Atif settlement.

AFP correspondent in the area quoted eyewitnesses as saying that more than 200 former members of the militias and their families live temporarily in this settlement. The correspondent indicated that the Syrian citizens call for boycotting those militias members in protest of bringing them to the occupied Syrian territories, SANA reported.

Some 6000 Lahd militia members ( 1817 families) fled to Israel after the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from South Lebanon, just 8 days ago.
