Israeli mines in South Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 6/2/2000
A source at the Israeli defense ministry has admitted that Israel planted land mines in several positions in South Lebanon's territories, prior to its withdrawal from South Lebanon last week.
A source at the Israeli ministry claimed that the Israeli army on Wednesday submitted to UNIFIL a map including sites of the mines the occupation army implanted in South Lebanon.
However, these land mines hit several Lebanese civilians upon their arrival into the new liberated areas immediately after the withdrawal of the Israeli forces.
