Arab security officials wrap up meeting in Tunis

The 9th congress of Arab officials in charge of immigration, passports and citizenship, adopted recommendations meant to consolidate cooperation between Arab states and trading of experience in these fields.
The congress said Arab states should adopt a visa type that sticks on passports and start issuing "electronic" passports to avoid forgery.
Participants said staff working in immigration, passports and citizenship services should undergo special training on the use of computers. Arab countries were further urged to enforce severe sanctions on undocumented immigrants to reduce the phenomenon that violates labor law and immigrants residence.
