Morocco, Egypt sign cooperation agreements in cinema

Morocco and Egypt signed on Wednesday two cooperation agreements in the field of cinema.

The first agreement provides for exchange of experiences, services and equipment between Moroccan cinema center (CCM) and Egyptian cinema production and distribution company and the setting up of a joint commission which will meet alternately once a year in each country to examine obstacles hampering bilateral cooperation and propose amendments to the agreement's clauses.

Under the agreement, the two sides will also grant entry and stay facilities for artists of both countries.

The second agreement sets up an Arab cinema industries union which is open to other Arab countries.

The agreements were concluded in parallel to the Moroccan film days held here May 28-31 and during which six Moroccan movies were screened.
