Arab document for specifying on products' origin and content to increase Arab inter-trade

A document has been drafted to facilitate Arab inter-trade and that can be used in specifying Arab common market content specifications in agreements for goods being made in the Arab states or manufactured with only partial content from the Arab states.
Ambassador Gamal El-Din El-Baiyoumi -- the Egyptian assistant secretary general for the affairs of the Egyptian - European partnership's unity -- said that "a team of Arab experts from Jordan, Emirates, Bahrain, Tunis, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Palestine, Kuwait, Morocco, Egypt and Mauritania have finished preparing the draft of the detailed source basis (place of origin) of the Arab industrial goods during a meeting they held at the headquarter of ministry of trade and industry in Morocco."
Following his return from Rabat, he said that "this draft will be raised to the coming meetings of the economic and social affiliated to the Arab League and meetings of the Arab industry ministers for ratify it to carry it out to contribute in supporting and vitalizing work with the agreement of the Arab free zone as well as increasing volume of the commercial trade among the Arab countries."
He added that preparing this draft took a year and a half according to authorization of the economic and social council and council of the Arab industry ministers.
