Railway office signs partnership agreement with UNICEF
Morocco, Culture, 5/31/2000

The Moroccan railway office "ONCF" and the United Nations Children Fund "UNICEF" signed on Tuesday a partnership convention to channel their efforts and create new dynamics for children rights.

The convention includes several activities meant to promote the children rights culture at the ONCF, through the training of the office staff and improving services extended to children at Moroccan railway stations.

Under the convention, ONCF will donate a part of each child ticket to improve education in rural areas.

UNICEF had signed a similar agreement with the Drinking Water authority as part of a nationwide strategy to mobilize socioeconomic actors, including the private sector and non-governmental organizations to set forth a national alliance for the enforcement of the convention on children rights.
