Libya to hold African integration meetings; Egypt attends

The Egyptian assistant foreign minister for the African affairs Ambassador Ibrahim Ali Hassan is starting today a visit to Libya to participate in meetings of the foreign ministers' council of the Organization of African Unity which starts its work in Tripoli during May 31 till.

Hassan will be representing Egyptian foreign minister Amr Moussa. He said these meetings will discuss the legal documents concerning establishing an African union and an African parliament as called for by the declaration of Sert summit that was held in Libya during last September.

During the Sert summit, it was agreed upon accelerating implementing some steps that were ratified by the Aboga agreement for establishing the African economic group and a set of the corporations that achieve an economically integrated bloc among African countries.
