Syrian information minister confers with Arab news agencies federation chief

Syrian Minister of Information Adnan Omran on Monday in Damascus received the secretary general of the Arab news agencies Fareed Ayar. The meeting was attended by the director general of SANA Fayez al-Sayyegh. Talks dealt with activities carried out by the federation and its role in deepening the basics of the joint Arab media work and qualifying technical cadres in the Arab news agencies. Omran stressed the need to upgrade the Arab national media and to make use of information technology so as to positively reflect on the work of the Arab national news agencies.
