Annan's envoy comes back to Beirut
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 5/29/2000
U.N secretary general's envoy Terry Larson returned back to Beirut last night following a visit to Israel during which he discussed with the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak the developments in south Lebanon following the Israeli withdrawal from it.
A diplomatic source affiliated to the U.N said that Larson started - as soon as he arrived at Nakoura village in south Lebanon - talks with leader of the international emergency force in south Lebanon to evaluate the status there.
Larson said that the U.N is working to mark the separating line between Lebanon and Israel to make sure of having the Israeli withdraw from south Lebanon completed.
