Larson asks Lahud to prevent Hezbollah provocation
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 5/29/2000
The special envoy of the U.N secretary general to M.E Terry Larson asked the Lebanese President Emil Lahud to prevent what he depicted of being provocation of Hezbollah fighters on the Lebanese - Israeli borders.
Larson made this declaration at the time when Israeli forces shot rubber bullets on followers of Hezbollah who crossed the barriers at the Lebanese - Israeli borders due to which 3 Lebanese citizens were injured.
Lebanese prime minister Salim al-Hoss said that what was done by demonstrators came after many years of Israeli terrorism by the Israeli forces, adding that he does not think that these events would lead to a serious escalation.
