Yemeni demonstration against woman serial killer
Yemen, Local, 5/29/2000
Some 10,000 Yemeni students demonstrated on Sunday demanding prosecution of officials who turned a blind eye on the misdeeds of Sanaa's serial killer who admitted raping and killing 16 women in Yemen.
The demonstrators called on the Yemeni authorities in their banners to disclose the facts and put on trial every official at Sanaa University who did not pay attention to reports submitted concerning a Sudanese employee who converted the faculty of medicine to a slaughter house for women during five years.
Families of the victims called for continuing the investigations and stressed that it is not believable to have all these crimes committed inside the university without having partners for this Sudanese killer.
Judicial sources close to the investigation said that other suspects whose names were not disclosed by the killer are still investigated.
However, the Sudanese Muhammad Adam Omar Ishak( 52) admitted on Saturday at the beginning of his trial that he raped and killed 16 women including 8 students from the university since 1995 until January this year.
