Jordanian King arrives in the USA

King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in New York on Saturday evening from Iceland in a visit to the USA during which he will meet with the US President Bill Clinton and high ranking officials at the US administration.

The Jordanian King is also scheduled to meet with the UN secretary General Kofi Annan, and several American businessmen and the representatives of economic and political activities in the States.

Meantime, King Abdullah II of Jordan has stressed that the future of the Middle East region is linked to a just and comprehensive solution to the issues persisting in the region. A solution accepted by all sides concerned.

In an interview with Channel II at the Iceland TV and published in Amman on Sunday, the Jordanian King explained that the problem of waters in the future will be a public issue that would affect all countries of the region.
