More US, UK Violations of Iraqi Airspace

Eleven formations of U.S and U.K warplanes on Friday, May 26, 2000 carried out 8 sorties from Saudi airspace and 14 sorties from Kuwait and flying over areas in the provinces of Basra, Meisan, Thi-Qar, Muthanna, Qadissiya and Najaf. Iraq's missile force and antiaircraft artillery drove the warplanes out of national airspace back to their basis in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, the Iraqi news agency said.
Since December 17, 1998 up to May 26, 2000, U.S and U.K warplanes carried out a total of 21,351 sorties over Iraq, of which 17,347 from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
