A book about human rights violations in Turkey

The first internal report in Turkey about the human rights violations and torture in Turkish prisons and police stations was issued.

The report comprised a description of these operations, which took place during the last two years through the voices of the tortured prisoners.

Members of the Turkish human rights committee did not hide their astonishment at the horrible scenes in prisons and police stations as well as in different Turkish cities.

They also seized equipment and tools that were used by official security members in torturing prisoners and detainees of different political trends.

Members of the committee saw the electrical torture equipment that were used on some detainees for their cooperation with the Kurdish Labor Party. They described the most popular method of torture as to hang the person on the wall and to tie the detainee's hand behind his back then he is dangled from the ceiling naked and remains like this till he confessed.

This was explain by a report of the human rights committee affiliated to the Turkish parliament where the committee asked the government to take urgent and decisive procedures to end such torture operations.
