Kuwaiti fund for developments resumes its activities in Sudan
Sudan-Kuwait, Economics, 5/26/2000
The Kuwaiti fund for development decided to resume its activities in Sudan after a stoppage of 10 years due to the Sudanese position during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990.
A statement issued by the fund said that "it has been agreed with the Sudanese government upon settling Khartoum's debts with the fund which nearly reach 31 million dollars as 11 million dollars were paid."
The statement added that the suggested projects to be financed following settling the debts comprise a water project, and roadway project that links north and south Kardvan with west Sudan.
