Lahd has no intention to return back to Lebanon

The commander of the South Lebanese Army militia (SLA) Antoine Lahd has announced that he has no direct plans to return back to Lebanon where he was sentenced to death in absentia under the charges of treason.
Lahd, who was talking from al-Matullah, north Israel, where he reached on Tuesday coming from Paris, Lahd added that he cannot return back to Lebanon now for this purpose, in remarks to his trial.
The Israeli army radio said that Lahd will meet later with the Israeli prime minister to discuss the fate of Lahd's militia and the situation in South Lebanon following the Israeli withdrawal.
