Portuguese businessmen in Morocco early June

Delegates of some thirty Portuguese enterprises will pay a visit to Morocco on June 7-9. The Portuguese businessmen-- operating in banking, hydraulics, plastic, iron, air conditioning, pharmaceuticals, furniture, mechanical and electric industries, construction and public works, textile, shoe-making and transport-- will take part in a workshop on Moroccan-Portuguese partnership.

Iron, steel, synthetic fibers, wood, chemical products, plastic goods, paper and machinery are the major goods that Portugal exports to Morocco. Moroccan exports to the European country comprise fish, phosphoric acid, tires, cork, fertilizers, citrus fruits, synthetic fabrics, phosphates and cotton threads.

The Portuguese-Moroccan chamber of commerce and industry sponsor the trip.

Regarding investments, Portugal is among the ten largest foreign investors in the Kingdom.
