Emir of Qatar visits Manama today to eliminate the current crisis

Well- informed sources in al-Manama stressed that the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani will visit Bahrain today and meet with its ruler Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa.

The sources said the two leaders will discuss will discuss Bahrain's measure in suspending works of the works of the joint Bahrain - Qatar joint committee and the development of the border disputes on the eve of the start of trial procedures before the International Court of Justice on May 29.

The sources explained that there is no definite agenda for this meeting and that all matters will be debated, noting that Manama is expecting new stances from the Qatari side.

Meantime, well-informed sources in Abu Dhabi told the London-based al-Hayat daily that the efforts made by the United Arab Emirates resulted in the meeting between the two Emirs of Bahrain and Qatar.

A well-informed source in Doha said that the visit of Sheikh Hamad to al-Manama today "is a step expressing the desire to ease down and contain latest developments " after the release of Bahrain's statement on halting cooperation and Qatar's reply to it.
