Israel accepts some SLA militias just for one year

The Israeli ministry of the Interior has approved to receive members of the Lahd militias in South Lebanon who on Monday and Sunday fled to Israel, initially just for one year.
The Israeli army radio quoted the Israeli minister of the Interior Nathan Sheranski as saying that his ministry has officially permitted those to stay in Israel for one year only and then they will decide either to return back to their villages in South Lebanon or to resort to any side that accept them abroad.
Meantime, hundreds of SLA members arrived in Tel Aviv and the Israeli settlements after the collapse of these militias as a result of the Lebanese resistance continued attacks against the Israeli occupation forces and their agents position in the occupation South Lebanon.
The Israeli radio said on Monday that tens of the militia members and their families were taken to a camp near Tiberies lake and will be given work licenses.
For his part, the Israeli minister of the Interior Nathan Sheranski said that his ministry studies the possibility of settling more than 1500 SLA members who arrived in israel on Monday.
