President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Monday in Cairo discussed with Malta's Foreign Minister Joseph Burj the Euro-Mediterranean partnership and regional and international issues of mutual concern. The Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas said on Monday quoting a diplomatic source in Damascus as saying that the Jordanian King Abdullah II would not have come to Damascus at this time unless he had in his hand something to discuss with President Hafez al-Assad.
