Qatar welcomes efforts to calm down the atmosphere with Bahrain

Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem al-Thani has stressed that his country seeks to calm down the atmospheres with Bahrain and that it is ready for any step that would help to this effect.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah issued on Monday, Qatar's foreign minister welcomed the efforts made by the UAE to halt the deterioration in the relations between Qatar and Bahrain and called for continuing these efforts.
Sheikh Hamad added that Qatar has rights it desires to ultimately settle through the International Court for Justice, noting that his visit to Egypt and his talks with President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt aimed at revitalizing an Arab- Egyptian initiative to bridge the Arab rift.
