Israel continues bombarding South Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday continued their aggression against Lebanese towns in South Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the occupation said the occupation artillery on Sunday morning intensively and violently bombarded al- Qeseyeh valley,Jabal al-Zaatar, al-Asi district, the outskirts of Kafra, Yater, Haris, Serbin, Hadatha; Eita al-Jabal, Barashit, Shaqra, Qibreiha, Toulin, Majdal Soloum, Khurbet Soloum, al-Sawannah and al-Jemejmeh. The israeli bombardment was coupled by shelling against the residential areas and houses at Shaqra town, and the outskirts of Hadatha and Eita al-Jabal towns.

Further reports from South Lebanon said the Israeli occupation forces renewed their bombardment of Shaqra and Majdal Soloum using heavy artillery which resulted in the wounding of one woman in Shaqra town and heavy damage to her house.

Meanwhile, the Israeli warplanes flew intensively at very low altitude, carrying out mock and provocative raids in the surrounding of the central sector of South Lebanon The Israeli and the Lahd militia forces closed off Beit Yahoun crossing before citizens passing to and from the occupied part of South Lebanon.

Meantime, the Israeli war-planes carried out raids against the hills of al-Tuffah district close to the occupied zone of South Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli planes raided twice al-Jabal al-Rafe and dropped four air-to surface missiles. The Israeli raiding planes also dropped three missiles on al-Jabal al-Akhdar area and four on the outskirts of Jeba town, according to the Lebanese security sources.

In retaliation, the Lebanese national resistance carried out a series of operations against the Israeli occupation and their agents positions in the occupied part of South Lebanon and in Shebaa farms.

In a statement, the resistance said a group of its men attacked an Israeli military position in Jabal al-Rous situated in Shebaa farm areas and direct hits were achieved.

The Lebanese national resistance also attacked the Lahd militia positions in Ein Qenya, Abu Qamha, Houla al-Jadida and the position of contingent 70 of the Lahd hireling militias.

Sources of the Israeli occupation forces admitted that fortified Israeli military positions in what they called " Hardouk" sector on the outskirts of Upper Galilee and Hermon districts near Shebaa farms were exposed to mortar shells.
