Great number of people visit Egypt's Coptic Arts Exhibition in Paris
Egypt, Culture, 5/20/2000

"Egypt's first Coptic Arts Exhibition, currently held in Paris, received a large number of visitors," Director of Arab World Institute Nasser Al-Ansari said Thursday.

In the first two days, 5,000 visitors visited the Exhibition and this number, according to Ansari, will increase by the weekend.

The Coptic Art Exhibition, organized by the Paris-based Arab World Institute, opened on May 15 and will remain open until September 3.

"Coptic Church Pope Shenouda III will visit the Exhibition on Tuesday and deliver a lecture on "Civilization in Egypt," Ansari said.

A large number of French, Arab and Egyptian figures attended Egypt's Coptic Art Exhibition. The exhibition includes 110 archeological pieces out of 320 from the Coptic and Islamic art museums in Egypt.
