Exporting Egyptian rice to Libya for 3 years

The Egyptian economy ministry agreed on exporting Egyptian rice for 3 years to Libya according to the signed understanding note between the Egyptian government and the Libyan public committees which aims at providing Libya with its needs of rice.
50,000 tons will be purchased this year to be increased to 95,000 tons in the coming year. This quantity forms 60% of the Libyan market annual needs.
Trade between Egypt and Libya is 328.8 million L.E. Libya ranks third in trade for Egypt exports among the Arab state.
