Morocco provides favorable climate for investment, Egyptian economic operator
Egypt-Morocco, Economics, 5/18/2000
Morocco offers a propitious environment for investments and the economic progress achieved by Morocco in the recent years suggests a promising future for foreign investments in the country, said an Egyptian businessman.
The cochairman of Moroccan-Egyptian business council, Yamani Foulfoula, who is familiar with business transactions in Morocco, underlined the positive results scored by the Moroccan economy in terms of per capita income and exports.
Investment brought to Morocco over $1.5 billion and no other country in North Africa was yet able to achieve such a large investment in the field of telecommunications, said Foulfoula.
To reinforce this favorable climate, the Egyptian official proposed the creation of an independent mechanism to attract more foreign investments, extension of tax-exemption measures especially to free-zone projects and setting up of industrial areas.
