Several corruption, embezzlement cases filed in special court

Several cases related to the embezzlement of public property, abuse of confidence and corruption are filed with to the Special Court of Justice, Moroccan justice minister, Omar Azziman on Wednesday said.
The minister told the house of representatives (lower house of parliament) that these cases include the issues of the National Farming bank (CNCA) and the municipality of Tangiers (northern Morocco).
There are other cases filed to the special court, he said, adding that these cases cannot be revealed at the present time to preserve the investigation secrecy.
Meantime A Moroccan court sentenced two county policemen to three months in jail for accepting bribes from a driver. The driver, whose identity was not disclosed, lodged last April a complaint against the two policemen, saying they compelled him to give them 20 DH (2 dollars) in bribe to turn a blind eye on a road code offense.
The plaintiff gave investigators hints on the spot where the policemen were hiding their "gains". Investigation enabled to discover a hidden sum of $ 15 made up of 10 and 20 DH banknotes.
