Mascut hosts meetings of the Iranian - Omani committee

An Omani official source said that the seventh meeting of the joint Omani - Irani committee will discuss developing commercial and economic relations between the two countries through the commercial draft agreement and the agreement of encouraging, protecting investments in addition to establishing a commercial bureau for the sultanate of Oman in Iran.
The committee will also discuss establishing technical cooperation in agricultural field, animal and fisheries as well as cooperation in gas and petroleum field through discussing the draft of an understanding note in this area.
It is worth noting that Omani imports from Iran reached nearly 11.8 million Omani Riyal in 1998, an increase from 3.6 million Riyadh in 1994. Iran ranks 19th on the list of the exporting countries to Oman.
