Urgent meeting for the delegates' council in the Arab league
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 5/17/2000

The Arab league's council held an urgent meeting today on level of the permanent delegates at the league to discuss the serious positions in the Palestinian government and to take a unified Arab stance toward the Israeli actions against Palestinians.

Palestine's permanent delegate at the league said that all the Arab states absolutely denounce the Israeli procedures toward the Palestinian people and they asked the U.N and U.S.A as well as the European Union to stop these attacks and to stress on Israel to carry out the signed agreements with the Palestinian side.

The Arab League stated that the loss of confidence between the Arab states and Israel has increased and become very wide after the bloody events during the last days (where Israeli troops attacked Palestinian demonstrators who resulting in several dead).
