Sudanese national reconciliation meeting on coming moves

Meeting of the technical committee of the Egyptian - Libyan initiative concerned with achieving national reconciliation in Sudan were held yesterday at the headquarters of the Egyptian foreign ministry.

This meetings were held under the chairmanship of Egyptian assistant foreign minister Mostafa El-Feki and the assistant secretary general in the general public committee for the external communication Omar Shebek to discuss the coming steps in this joint initiative and means of vitalizing it.

El-Feki said "these meetings were aiming at vitalizing the initiative to reach a ratification to the comprehensive rapport in Sudan especially that this joint initiative is gaining new ground every day as the U.S.A and the European countries started to understand that a regional solution is the top priority over other non-regional issues."

El-Feki added that meetings of the Egyptian - Libyan technical committee which lasted for three days in Cairo were associated with the visit of John Garang the chief of the largest southern opposition party in Democratic National Alliance which is headed by Mohammed Ossman El-Merghani as they made a comprehensive evaluation of the latest developments in Sudan during these meetings.
