Information Technologies Could Create 70,000 to 100,000 Jobs

Information technologies could create 70,000 to 10,000 jobs in the five to six years to come, said chairman of Moroccan association of information technologies professionals(APEBI), Khalid El Hariri.
According to El Hariri, E-commerce, and in general, information technologies, contribute to job creation, generate added value and promote economic competitiveness and administration productivity.
Morocco can export annually software and tele-services worth $ 1.0 to 1.5 billion, he said, adding that to this end, the association will finalize next July a contract-program with the government.
As regards cyber-crimes in Morocco, Hariri said it is very difficult to give exact figures on the losses caused by the virus "I love you" which entailed $ 5 billion in losses in five days.
