Opening a commercial British fair in Tripoli
Libya-UK, Economics, 5/16/2000
A British commercial fair was opened in Tripoli yesterday which is the first of its sort since halting the sanctions on Libyan in April 1999.
65 British corporations and companies participated in the fair, which will last for 4 days in addition to 300 commercial companies.
The U.K ambassador at Libyan Richard Dalton said that organizing such fair is considered a new start in the cooperation between the two countries, referring that the boycott lasted too long and adding that British companies suggested Libya's partnership in the petroleum fields, gas, aviation, communication and education.
