Irish parliamentarians meet speaker of Moroccan upper house
Morocco-Ireland, Politics, 5/16/2000

Means to reinforce political dialogue between Morocco and Ireland were probed at a meeting in Rabat Monday between a visiting delegation from the Irish Parliament and speaker of the Moroccan chamber of advisors (upper house) Jalal Essaid.

The delegation, representing the foreign affairs committee, and its Moroccan interlocutors stressed the need to remove the obstacles hampering the establishment of a harmonious and balanced cooperation and underlined the necessity to speed up the adoption of bilateral accords to give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation.

This is the first time ever that an Irish Parliamentary delegation is visiting Morocco.
