Israel continues aggressions against South lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces on Monday violated provisions of the April Understanding and bombarded several residential areas in Kafer Tibnet and the surrounding of several towns in South Lebanon and the Western Bekaa. Four Lebanese civilians were wounded.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli bombardment also resulted in wounding citizen Hussein Abdul Karim and his wife Saeeda Hayek in Kafer Tibnet town.

Citizen Najib Muhammad Menem was also wounded by the Israeli bombardment against the outskirts of Yahmur town.

On Sunday evening Israeli forces evacuated al-Tebi project position in the occupied part of South Lebanon and handed it over to members of the pro- Israeli lahd militia in order to protect the occupation forces during their withdrawal.

News reports from the occupied part of South Lebanon said the trading over this position by the Israeli occupation forces to the Lahd militias comes in the framework of the readiness of this militias to be re-positioned in a framework of a new plan which coincides with the re-deployment of the Israeli forces along the international borders.

The Lebanese security sources added the Israeli artillery shelling damaged a number of houses, cars and shops in Kafer Tibnet town.

The Israeli shelling also hit the electric grid and telephone lines in the said town, causing the interruption of electricity.

A number of media correspondents were came under fire while they were covering the Israeli attacks on Kafer Tibnet town.

The Israeli artillery also pounded the mountainous areas of al-Tuffah district, the suburbs of Arab Salim, Tarjon, Habboush, Mefdoiun, Shawkin, Majdal Zoune, Beyout al-Seyad, Yatter al-Qeseyeh valley and al-Set Zubeidah bridge. The hostile shelling also targeted populated quarters in Rumin town, demanding two houses.

On Monday morning, and in the Western Bekaa tension was raised when Israeli jets raided a valley located between Yahmur and Salmon. The Israeli artillery also bombarded mountains located to the south-west of Ein al-Tineh town and Jabour citadel.

The shelling was coupled with mopping up campaigns with heavy machine- guns of the Leitani river course, the forests of Dalfa and of Mifdoun and the outskirts in Lweizah farm.

In retaliations, the Lebanese national resistance against the Israeli shelling of secure villages and targeting civilians in Kafer Tibnet, shelled Israeli border position " Zaher al-Jamal" on Monday afternoon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said that direct hits were scored.
