Kuwaiti- Iraqi relations debated in a conference

In a first conference of its kind since the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in August 1990, a conference was held on Saturday in Kuwait under the title" the future of Iraqi- Kuwaiti relations." The conference was held under the patronage of the ruler of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah.

The conference is attended by government and parliamentary figures from Kuwait and several Arab and foreign officials.

In its three-day deliberations, the conference will discuss 14 work papers. One of its session will be chaired by former Jordanian prime minister Taher al-Masri and it will be attended by the two Kuwaiti Sheikhs Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad and Sabah al-Khaled al-Sabah as well as several media men and intellectuals specialized in the region's affairs.
