Mubarak confers with Qatar, UN officials

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Saturday in Cairo received Abdullah Khaleifa al-Ateyah who is Qatar's minister of state and special envoy for the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani.

Al-Ateyah conveyed from Sheikh Hamad a message to President Mubarak on Arab conditions, and bilateral relations between the two states.

The Egyptian president, on the other hand, received the president of the United Nations General Assembly, currently visiting Egypt. Present at the meeting were the Egyptian foreign minister Amr Moussa and the delegation accompanying the General Assembly President.

The two sides discussed matters concerning Egypt's vision to the UN reform program, and the African role at the UN Security Council.

Talks also dealt with the World third Millennium Summit due to be held in September in New York.
