Increase in traffic of Arab air lines companies

Arab airlines companies achieved a strong increase in passenger traffic in the last year amounting to 8%.
The annual report of the Arab union for air transportation said that the 15 aviation's companies -- members in the union -- transported last year 43.29 million passengers as opposed to 40 million in year 1998, referring that the international transportation share reached 29 million passengers with an increase of 9.5% while the internal transportation reached 14.2 million passengers with an increase of 4.4%.
The report also assured the rapid growth in the field of the air shipping in the area as 1.4 million tons have been shipped.
