Esmat Abd El-Meguid, the Arab League's secretary general received two messages from Iraqi deputy prime minister Tarek Aziz and the Iraqi foreign minister Mohammed Saeed El-Sahaf in which they asked for the necessity to interfere and move to stop the flights of the U.S and U.K airplane and taking off from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Turkey for attacking the Iraqi lands. The two messages asked Abd El-Meguid to urge the Arab states to violate the international sanctions and expanding the cooperation with Iraq outside oil for food program, asking Abd El-Meguid to interfere to persuade the Arab and Islamic as well as the intimate countries - with Iraqi situation toward the security council's last resolution. The Algerian daily al-Khabar said in its Wednesday issue that the armed groups killed four children by gun bullets while they were breeding their sheep in Wade al-Maleh area of al-Medya district, 90 Km far from the capital Algiers. The paper added that other three Algerian citizens were killed by the gunmen in al-Halayem area of Gleizan district while a bomb went off at Teyart province, resulted in wounding one citizen. Go

Three Spanish drug dealers were arrested last week in Nador in north Morocco with 1,580 kg of cannabis extract, locally known as chira. The banned substance was concealed in a spain-plated lorry. The three dealers are currently standing trial. Go

The Protex-Maroc group and Mulhouse-based French firm "Socafix" passed an agreement Thursday under which they set up a plant to manufacture automotive parts and needs.
