Moroccan home minister says strong economy is solution to illegal emigration

Moroccan home minister, Ahmed El Midaoui, told representatives on Wednesday that a strong economy is the only way to reduce emigration and particularly illegal one.
Talking at the House of Representatives' question time, the minister said a strong economic performance provides jobs to unemployed persons. He argued that the solution does not lie in repression but through giving to the youth an adequate training meeting the job market needs.
He added that the government is struggling against networks that organize illegal migration, noting the existence in Europe of gangs that exploit the cheap illegal workers and others that are involved in illegal migration.
