Death sentence for Iranians in Kuwait

Kuwaiti diplomatic sources said yesterday that four Iranians in Kuwait were sentenced to death for smuggling drugs and that it is expected that the four Iranians would appeal.
These Iranians were arrested three months ago in Kuwait's regional water with 55 kilograms of Hashish.
In 1998 Kuwait two executed Iranians, who were condemned for smuggling drugs in the first enforcement to the death sentence since issuing the law in 1995 which listed drug smuggling among the crimes punishable by the death sentence.
