Aznar calls for more Spanish investments in Morocco
Morocco-Spain, Economics, 5/9/2000
Spanish Premier Jose Maria Aznar, who is currently on an official visit to Morocco, on Monday called his country's businessmen to invest more in Morocco.
"I urge my countrymen to better know Morocco. Nearly 250,000 Spanish visit Morocco annually and I would like to see their number increase," Aznar said a joint press conference with Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi.
Aznar said the integrated action program for the development of the Mediterranean region, presented Monday to Youssoufi, can contribute to the development of the Moroccan northern regions.
He spoke of the possibility of a Moroccan-Spanish economic and financial cooperation worth $50 million, destined to the Moroccan northern areas.
