Visiting Portuguese minister Coelho meets Cabinet members

The visiting Portuguese minister to the presidency and social equipment, Jorge Coelho, met in Rabat Monday Moroccan peer Bouamour Taghouane and several other Cabinet members.
Coelho held working meetings with the ministers in charge of territory development, environment and housing, Mohamed El Yazghi, transportation and merchant navy, Mustapha Mansouri and the secretary of state in charge of housing, Mohamed M'Barki.
Portugal thus voiced readiness to invest in highway construction in Morocco and was invited to extend expertise in social-housing construction. Cooperation will also be boosted in sea-rescue operations and the struggle against maritime pollution.
Coelho and Moroccan interlocutors hailed first-class cooperation between the two countries in several fields, stressed the need for its enhancement and agreed to increase visit exchanges to enable Portugal to accompany the kingdom in its development process, namely in the realm of infrastructures.
