Jordanian foreign minister confers with Mauritanian counterpart

Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib discussed with his Mauritanian counterpart, Ahmad Ould Sedi Ahmad, on Monday in Amman means of strengthening areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in economic and health areas, and the establishment of a joint higher committee to meet alternatively in the two countries' capitals.
During their talks, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing the peace process on all tracks according to UN Security Council resolutions 242, 338 and 425 and the land-for-peace formula.
