Tunisia welcomes Italy's decision to grant 3,000 work visas

The Tunisian government welcomed Italy's decision to grant 3,000 work visas to Tunisians in Italy to reduce the illegal immigration from Tunis to Rome.
According to this decision, 3,000 Tunisians could move to Italy under a legal protection that enable them to work in fields of nursing, tourism services and traditional industries.
This decision comes in the aftermath of disasters faced by Tunisians illegally migrating to Italy in which several died due to unsafe conditions on boats that were transporting them to the Italian coasts.
