Arab parliamentary delegation visits Iraq

A delegation representing Arab parliaments that took part in the deliberations of the 103rd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which concluded on Friday in Amman, headed for Baghdad on Sunday to become acquainted with the consequences of the embargo imposed on Iraq.
The delegation is composed of Syrian People's Assembly members Kamal Amer and Ismael al-Ali, representatives of the Arab parliaments of Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, Algeria, Yemen and Palestine and the secretary general of the of the IPU's council, Noureddine Bu Shkouh.
During this visit which came at the initiative of the Arab parliamentarians, the delegation will visit several sites including al-Amereyah shelter in order to become closely acquainted with the consequences of the sanctions.
