Mauritanian envoy, Fettah ould Abdeljalil, also minister of the interior, arrived here on Friday. The envoy told the press upon arrival in the Algerian capital city that he was carrying a message from president Mouaouia Ould Sid Ahmed Taya of Mauritania to Algerian peer, Abdelaziz Bouteflika. No detail was disclosed on the content of the message.

Speaker of the Algerian senate (Nation Council), Bashir Boumaaza, arrived in Marrakesh Saturday for a 3-day official to Morocco. A statement of speaker of the Moroccan upper legislative house (Chamber of Advisors), said the visit, the first of the kind, will offer the two legislative bodies the opportunity to probe cooperation means and mechanisms both at the bilateral and international levels. The Algerian official is scheduled to meet the speakers of the two houses, prime minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi and other cabinet members.
