Kuwait calls for convening international parliamentary conference in Cairo to support captive issue

Sheikh Salem al-Sabah al-Salem, the Kuwaiti deputy prime minister and defense minister called for convening an international parliamentary conference in Cairo to discuss the issue of the captives being held in Iraq since the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.
Sheikh Salem said in a message sent to Fathi Sorour, head of the Egyptian People's Council, as al-Sabah said that choosing Cairo is due to the Egyptian role in supporting the captives issue and its role during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.
He said Egypt and Kuwait have complete coordination on the different political issues, especially concerning the issue of captives and that among them are Egyptian, Saudi, Lebanese and Omani captives.
