Maghreban newsmen, human rights activists meet on peace culture

A Maghreban seminar on the promotion of human rights and peace culture opened in Rabat Wednesday to mark the world press freedom day.

The three-day meeting debates at the level of three workshops issues related to media in times of conflict and post-conflict era, media as a means of rapprochement in the Maghreb, and journalists' rights and responsibilities in the promotion of human rights and peace culture.

Journalists, civil society activists and representatives of human rights associations are taking part in this event, sponsored by UNESCO in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann foundation.
