El-Baz assures continuing the peace process despite of the current hardships

Osama El-Baz, the political advisor to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak asserted to ArabicNews.com that the peace process in the Middle East is continuous despite the hardships confronting it currently.

El-Baz expressed his hope of resuming the negotiations on the Syrian and Lebanese tracks soon, saying that the Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon is a step on the way to liberating the occupied Arab lands and asserting the necessity of the Israeli withdrawal to beyond lines of June 4, 1967 according to UN Security Council resolution 425.

He added that it is wrong if Israel thinks it will withdrawal from south Lebanon and will freeze the negotiations on the Syrian track, saying that Cairo will continue presenting help to all the sides that desire to push forward the peace process.
