Moroccan premier confers with Swede MPs, NGOs activists
Morocco-Sweden, Politics, 5/4/2000

Ways to enhance Moroccan-Swedish relations and Morocco's economic and democratic progress topped talks held in Rabat Wednesday between Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi and a visiting Swedish parliamentary and NGO delegation.

Youssoufi outlined the government's program to help Morocco take up the challenges of development.

Youssoufi also touched on the Sahara issue, renewing Morocco's attachment to the holding a self-determination referendum with the participation of all people of Sahrawi origin.

The Swedish delegation had earlier conferred with several Moroccan officials, including the speakers of the lower and of the upper houses of parliament, as well as with Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister Mohamed Benaissa.
