Berri: Shabaa farms are for Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 5/4/2000
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stressed on Wednesday that the Shabaa farms, which Israel occupied during the June war of 1967, are an unquestioned Lebanese right.
During his meeting with several Lebanese parliamentarians on Wednesday in Beirut, Berri added there are many documents and maps which prove this Lebanese right on every level.
He added that the issue of these farms is debated in light of the recent Israeli statements that the Shabaa farms are cut from the Golan and are not Lebanese territories, adding that Lebanon has nothing to do with all these false statements and that there is a complete file prepared by Lebanon on this issue to be discussed with international sides concerned.
